Monday morning say us begin our day in the usual manner with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Rosary and Morning Prayer of the Church followed by Mass at 9.30am. After Mass the missionaries went down to the school for morning interval and joined the children for games, after which 2 of the Sisters spent time talking to P3, 4, 5 and Deacon Nicholas and Novice Dominic talked to P6 & 7.  The remaining missionaries were out visiting houses.

The after school activities got off to a slow start, but the number of children increased to a respectful 30+, allowing more activities and games to take place, under the supervision of Deacon Nicholas, the Sisters and seminarians.

After the Mission Talk at 7pm, which Br Keir opened with a short talk on the 4th Commandment – “Honour your Father and Mother”.  Sisters Koluse and Lucila gave a short controversy on why bother going to church when you can stay at home and pray, and then Deacon Stephen gave a sermon of Heaven, followed by Holy Communion and a Consecration to our Lady, when some of the youth of the parish presented flowers to the Mother of God.

The evening entertainment and sing song was its usual great success with Novice Dominic putting on a piece with his “2 friends”!  Sr Koluse led the Sisters (amplified) in singing a few songs and leading the dance that has become a favourite in the parish.

Fr Ernesto continues to guide us and to celebrate God’s mercy and love in the confessional.
